I went a little old school and louvered my fenders. I'm hoping the will help dissipate
some of the excessive heat I get with my supercharger during the summer here in
Atlanta. They are fully functional as well as they look totally unique on a box. I will
post up more once car gets out of the paint booth. I'm also changing out the front
bumper and repainting the hood with a more durable clear coat. I'm still trying to decide
if the billet grill will get painted yellow or remain black.





It hurts to see my car this way.

I think the Black is best against the RS02 Solar Yellow.

I sure like to know how you were able to pick up
TWO Release Series xBs.
You must know the Dealer.

I wanted the RS03 Envy Green which was in
short supply and went with the 06.5 TCM
currently being mod.

Just lucky I guess. I've got my sights on the new RS 5.0 when it comes out. The
RS 3.0 going to be replaced. The is a family in Scinergy GEorgia that has two RS 3's
and one RS 2. They are looking for more. His handle is Boxzilla. He is on scionlife.

 

I'm impressed, I've always thought thet an old school louvered hood would be cool on the xB.Probably be big dollars to do though.Give me your original grill!!

 

The louvers cost $25 setup fee and $1.50 per louver. The prep and paint is the
expensive part. On a hood you would need to cut out most of the structure underneath.
We talked about it but I don't have the money this time around.

 

I have an article on that family. They were Featured in a Scion magazine/Brochure I got from the Dealer in '06 just before I purchased my 06.5 TCM Box. They both had His and Hers RS03 Envy Green Boxes. She was "Bridezilla" with her logo on the side and he was "Boxzilla" with his logo on the side. Amazing couple.

Please Elaborate on RS 5.0?
The 1st gen only went 4 years from 2004-2007 with the last special Release RS04 Torch Penny (Mazora) and ends the generation.
Your RS03 is out and can't be replaced.
Then the xB2 was an '08 introduced in 2007 starts a New Generation.

The word is that the xB2 RS 5.0 will be released in Jan/Feb of next year in 5axis gold.
Wifey wants that one instead of her green one. So I have to sell the green one. The
RS 2.0 is for life.

to make the fender louvers work to dissipate the hear are you going to create a vent thru the fender reinforcement and or strut tower?

Looks good and keep it black for sure.

 

The louvers are in front of the plastic reinforcement part at the back of the fender
and are open to the engine bay. Currently I have a 12" strip of LED's in there to light
up the inner fender well and the engine bay.
