I did. Don't know if it's the same brand but I'm sure it's the same concept. Its easy but nerve-wracking, IMO. You don't want to have to peel it up and reposition so get it in the right place to start with. Use the applicator pad first if it came with one.
Yeah, it means there's a 3M sticker on the back of the CF. It doesn't mean it's CF-look vinyl...
If you want to have the CF laid directly onto your gas door, be my guest. but it's a little more pricey and unless you're real close, will probably not see the difference...

Yeah the clear door is cool, but a little more involved in the installation process. Squirrel has that one.
I like how it adds some accent to the car. I've also got the door handles, which I think helps tie it in and doesn't look like one little isolated spot. From many angles, they are hardly noticable, but at the right angle, it looks really sweet, IMO. My pillars should be here today, hopefully...

And just for the record, "applique" actually refers to having one material applied over the surface of another, so even having CF hand laid and coated on your gas door would STILL be considered an "applique"...

As long as its applied well, it'll just protect it, like a clear bra that's not clear. Unless you've peeled your door frames, then you DO have stickers on your car. I just peeled mine and it looks sweet, but the vinyl just protected the paint until now...
