file a report , did you get her insurance info? have the insurance company deal with it, she will have to pay then.

 

Yeah, I have had many bad experiences too... I was sitting at a red light just waiting for green and some guy plowed into the back of my car doing about 30. This guy had no license, insurance, and to top it all of... he wasn't even an American citizen.

 

How did that work out?

It was convenient because right next to me at the stop light was one of the fire department SUVs and he saw the whole thing. The next thing that I know there are 5 cop cars and an ambulance. They made a police report and with my insurance I have uninsured coverage or something like that. Basically my insurance had to cover the whole thing... I didnt even have to pay anything but I was with no car for 3 weeks.

 

Having a nice car is sometimes the worst and with ours having no side moldings I get worried too.

I had a large rock kicked sideways off of a car that was next to me and put a few large chips on my passenger door right under the handle-dang near hit my girlfriends hand-she felt it hit the door. I had to eat that one and still have the chips until the weather gets nice enough to fix it.

Another story if you all have time though...

I had a big asphault puck kicked up off of a cement truck and cracked my windshield, luckily I had my digital camera on the console so I snapped photos of the truck, the license, even the driver when I got to the side of the truck. The cement company was so lame-they said unless I had the actual piece and could prove it was from their truck they would do nothing....

...but it all turned out cool because the DOT was responsible for the puck being left over from construction so they ended up paying for a new windshield.

I knew mine was going to be used vehicle but I never wanted the abused part. I agree with what the other guy said about taking a trip to the parents house unless this gets straightened out really soon-also call around and see if you can get a few estimates form goor reputation places-maybe someone will do it cheaper which would make her more likely to get moving on it.
