Default did i get screwed? or is it my fault?... probly just me

i got into an accident reciently and i had to buy a new front bumper and get it painted... now i am puting it on to save money.... but when i did it didn't fit in a couple of places....

well the most noticeable place is where it lines up with the fender, the top of the wheel well, and right next to the head-light housing on the passenger side bc the bomper sticks out...

the second place is where the top part of the bottom honey-comb piece connects to the bumper....
bc the bumper cover does not come down far enough to clear the bottom of the "metal" bumper...
so wherever the honey comb connects to the bumper it bows....

ill get some pics later today if u r confused

so i just want to know if it is possible that the manufacture could be off on the dimensions of the bumper? or is it just my fault of putting it on wrong?

if u don't understand anything i say.... just let me know

Did you hit something with the car during the accident? If so did a body shop fix the damage to the the bumber/frame etc? My guess from what you describe is that the bumper has been pushed in or bent slightly from the impact and now the OEM front end will not fit correctly. just a guess without all the details.

Good luck,

Glen

that problem is actually pretty common. I didnt get into an accident and mine is like that to and so are a few of the other boxes in my car club. i dont know how to fix it but thats just a factory defect.

well the car that i hit was infront of me but he was comming across me (so i hit him perpendicular to me) but i didn't hit him enough to do structural damage i don't think i was only doing 5-10 mph and him as well.... but ill put up some pics when i get home
