Just cut a piece of sheet metal to put behind it and paint that.

Finally got around to "finishing" the mod. I ended up finding some pretty thick plastic sheets in my storage shed so i wrapped my grill in that. However, now the grill looks almost too dark so i might have to change the material but i've been really busy with school so that's not a high priority right now. I also bent back the upper portion of it by cutting a few of the wires at the corners. Here are a couple of pics tell me what you think and if yall have any other suggestions that would be great. I might end up going to sheet metal like kzhorse suggested when i have time.

Here's a view of the top. It needs a bath badly...

Also decided to clear my corners since i had my grill off so often.

looks alot better with the backing.

I think I may try this with the Siver finish instead of the black.
Also, is the mesh long enough to do the bottom grilles?

Default ...GOOD MOD...

I will look into doing that to my two lower grills.

The bB emblim sits flush with the grill and might fit under the added gutter guard grill.
That would take care of the center holes.

Sadly the gutter guards i found weren't long enough for the bottom grills. The top grill is 34 inches long and the gutter guards i found came in 3 foot sections (36 inches) which gives you an inch to spare on either side but the bottom two grills are a couple of inches too long. Maybe you can try multiple layers with a little bit of overlap or something. Let me know how you turn out on the bottom grills. Thanks!

The mesh i used was from gutter guards which were already precut into 6'' by 3' sections. Idk if you can find a similar mesh that comes in rolls but i wasn't able to find anything at the hardware store. Maybe you can try some dry wall mesh or the internet. I'm not sure. Good luck i hope you find what you're looking for!
