Its funny you say that (about the flat), I have had the exact oposite expierience with rattle can paint.. I used a high gloss red on a little project a few years back, then I ran 3 coats of clear on it... that thing scratched down to the metal just looking at it.. the flat (plastikote bumper color black) iv'e used in alot of different applications and it has always lasted best, for me, thats why I had no problem using it on my own ride.

The headlights i'm still hung up on, I would really like to find an aftermarket set (in black) i like, and keep the stocks boxed up and untampered with. But, so far I like the stock blackout look the best, but its still not exactlty what i want.. so i'm waiting for an epiphany or I just get up one day and spray mine down, like I did the grill.. Thanks!

NIce mod - i did the same thing first once i got my xb :D I just dont like the color coded grills...
