I tried Dave, but they don't believe how easy it is.

I'm no tuner, but the only part i haven't ripped into yet would be the, umm, never mind, I guess I've had almost everything apart short of the engine and the headliner. Door panels, rear hatch panel, seats, all the interior trim, in the dash up to my shoulder, under the spare, under the vent cowling, heck, even the heatshield on the hood. (that ones a little brittle) The only problem I've had was my gas gauge needle cracking when I did the speedo blue. I just pried on the wrong spot. A little Krazy glue - good as new. :D  :D

don't sweat it, I was the same 2 months ago. :D

Fry's carries it as well as many other places. Here's a link, they have a locator as well as all the info you could want:

http://dynamat.com/

Would be perfect for plate rattle.

I hate when mods do this. This thread will be seen by 1/100 as many people now that it's been arbitrarily stuck in some obscure section probably no one ever looks at.
And the mods hate it when people start technical theads in the general announcement forums. We don't move threads for our amusement!

"Drag Coefficient" is the forum devoted to body issues. The forum name was selected by the site owner, so if you have a problem he's the one to talk to.

The "Scion xB" forum is meant for announcements pertaining to the xB, not discussion of technical issues such as the doors.

If we just stick everything in "Scion xB" we might as well have a mailing list. The point of having different forums is so that people who care about certain issues will have easy access to discussion of those issues. It might be that fewer people will view your gripe (although I doubt your 1/100 figure), but those people who do will at least be interested in the discussion.

This thread might be suited to the "Maintainance and Problems" forum or perhaps the "Dear Scion" fourm. Would you like it moved to one of those?

I disagree. 10 more pounds of metal framework or even insulation in each door would make all the difference in the world and 40 lbs isn't going to measureably affect performance. It's cost cutting. It's not a big deal, but it seems like an odd oversight considering how high quality the rest of the car appears to be as far as interior etc. It's hard to beleive these doors are "beefed up" from the JBM Toyota Bb! The sheet metal must quiver when a light breeze hits it on those.
I dunno, I'm trying to put my car on a weight plan and I'd be thrilled to lose 40 pounds (on the car, and hell me too) but I guess you poor xBs have to figure something out, my car door sounds pretty solid..

jonbee....check out Ebay. Be sure to buy it from another state than Cal. I got mine from NJ, no sales tax. I recomend you get the bulk box, 36 sq ft. Should be about $100 + shipping.
