Default eBay CF engine covers...

... has anybody bought one?

I want one without the VVTi on it, but I'm not sure about the quality...

I bought one on ebay a few months ago, and i'm very pleased with it although its not all CF the bottom is fibergllass that had a few layers of CF on top but you can't tell that at all unless you take it off and flip it upsidedown. Its real sturdy and hella shiny.........here is the link to the one that i bought.

These are both very true. The modifing it needs is the two front mounts. All they did was screw two holes. There is a reason the stock one has slits in it. So when you get it just make slits in it like the stockie and youll be good.

Note: sorry about all the pollen on them. I took these in a week of pure pollen season.

Oh sweet. I was going to modify the engine cover anyways, so I just didn't want the VVT-i molded into it. Even if it isn't 100% carbon fiber, it still looks good.

Btw, pollen season hasn't hit the Mid-Atlantic yet... I hope it isn't as bad as last year. My car turned yellow within an hour of washing it.

Well im in Florida and that was a month and a half ago. It hit hard for like a week and thats when I got that. I put it on and came out to take pics and bam pollen everywhere! But im very happy with it and Ive had it for a little while now and I just cleaned it today and still super shiney. They didnt skimp on the clearcoat at all. I highly recommend. Just keep searching ebay for the best deal.

I bought my cf engine cover on eBay... It looks great, but did have to modify it by cutting a path for the front bolts to match the OEM cover. I wanted VVT-i on the cover as well, but I didn't like how the OEM cover's logo looked so I did my own style to make my cover look stock in a way...

Here's my pics...

As soon as I get it back from the chrome shop I'll post some pics but they said it might be 2 to 3 weeks.

To me, the Injen just looks like a sheet of metal bent over the engine and bolted down... I'm not dissing it, it just isn't my style.
