Finally got around to doing my tails.

I never liked how the white/clear clashed with the camo green....lol, it only took me 3 years to do something about it. :D

They look good.

I also have a camo box and I have to agree I do not like how the tails clash. I am going to candy red mine, hopefully in the next few weeks.

And is that a small fist coming out of the rear wiper hole?

Yeah....it was a promo antenna ball. I accidentally snapped the rear wiper off while washing the car the second week we had it. Amazingly that thing has stayed on for the last 3 years. :D

Oh, before someone asks:

I opened the lights up, sprayed a nice dark coat on the inside of the outer edge of the lens.

Then I did a light mist on the entire silver area, and a light mist on the red reflector.

Light output is not noticeable diminished at all.

Ha, I know how you feel man. Ever since I got the car Ive wanted to change the tails but didnt wanna buy new ones (cuz no money) and didnt wanna candy em. So i pretty much did what you did. I just took everything out, and sprayed the entire inner part black. Thick black, no more silver. Put the covers back in and it looks pretty good.

i hated the stock tails with my TCM so i sprayed mine with VHT nightshades. 5 coats of Vht and 3 coats of clear coat. i love how they came out.

I used Night Shades on a lot of my cars and even on my bikes too. I love that stuff and at night I still have IMO better visability than the GTO covers people buy.
