Default Friggin UPS

I finally got my dual projector headlights in today and when I opened them up, I discovered one of the bracket arms on the headlight assembly is broken off.

I emailed the seller to see if he'd do an exchange but in his auction he stated the item is being sold "as is" w/o any warranty so I'll probably have to take it up w/UPS.

Has anyone had anything like this happened to them?

When audio formz sent me my hood UPS cracked the corner ... My body shop was able to fix it and UPS paid me back for the shipping and the repair on the hood ... Call UPS and place a claim ... DO NOT do anything to the head lights ... They will want to send some out to look at them and the box. Make sure you save the box and all packaging material ... UPS will want to see everything! The best thing you can do now is call UPS and place a claim!

I had an IBM docking station shipped to me, and the key was broken off in the lock (shouldn't have been in there anyway, shipper was an idiot), but UPS took GOOD care of me, but they wanted to see EVERYTHING involved in the shipping.

If the problem was clearly caused by the shipper, they are usually pretty good about taking care of it.

UPS replaced my Durst medium-format photographic enlarger they somehow managed to squash a few years ago.

Good Luck!!!

UPS claims are easy and painless most of the time.

hey hey hey now i work for ups. its those new hires that are doin that bs. i myself take care of all my packages. some of the boxes that they are packed in arent good for shipping. i have unloaded trucks and said to myself what in tha hell are the loaders from such and such thinking. im a loader i have been with ups i have done the good the bad and the ugly. now im take pride in doing what i do. im number one in the hub in my city. number one for scan frequency dont know if i spelled that right. meaning that i put every packager where it needs to go. no late by a day here. and i make my walls so tight that you have to literally take a stick with a hook shove it through the wall and yank it down. im not here to defend ups just here to tell you why things happen. and im sorry that your package was damaged.

thanks for the input. i have since filed a claim with them. now i'm just waiting for the seller to give ups the info needed so ups can buy a replacement and ship it to me.

the stuff was packaged very well in boxes that appear to be intended for shipping, so it must have gotten hit pretty hard. the bottom line is ups is doing what they can to take care of it, and that's fine by me!

oh when i say that it was the new hires. i meant to say they like to throw stuff. i use to throw boxes too. i have learned my lesson. since then i stress to the new hires now about that. they can also lose there job behind stuff like that. but i will do my part and spread the word on my belt. my belt covers dermot arkansas pinebluff arkansas, houston tx mesquite tx co wy ut in wa or ky ak az and nv. if u ever i and i mean if u ever have a package coming from the east coast or goin to ky or in pm me and ill try to keep and eye out for you.
