Default ?front hood spoiler?

Hey has anyone seen this item. I think I remember seeing a pic of an xB with one. I am not entirely sure what it is really called but I kinda think it is something close to a hood spoiler.

Let me describe it. It is essentially a bug deflector for just the windshield. It attaches right at the top of the hood near the wipers and continues the line of that curve up higher than the wipers are when in the off position.

btw can someone help me get this pic to work. It is in my profile and poorly shows what I am talking about.

There is the pic. As for where to find one, IDK. By what the text says on https://www.scionlife.com/gallery/sh...php?photo=8298 that page, thats just a paint shop picture. So if some one has made one of these, it would be interesting to see.

That is it...you are awesome! Is that your box? If so is bbist where you got the piece I am looking for? It is really clean and cool. Personally I want to go for more discreet mods but I like your look. Especially the area between the headlights. Is that an OD grill w/out the emblem and painted?

thanks dude! much appreciated!

i didnt get mine from bbist, i got the last one from someone else. its not TOO much work, just some bondo work. $450?? i think bbist sells his for like $250? not sure tho, PM him. and thats not an od-grill, its actually a grill by biohazardous_customz. PM him if you want any custom grill work. GL on modding man! go crazy!

Ok so that doesn't make me feel much better but it is a step....but what is bondo work? As for the $450 I did a google search for fab hood spoiler and found a link to a page that sells it for that much.

this is the bBist version...

it did not fit right out of the box.
it takes some work to get it to fit right. (bondo = a brand of body filler)

it was about 250 + s/h
plus fitting or body work (i did myself)
plus painting...
you could be looking at 450 to do the complete job...

One of these days I am going to take the time to get mine fitting correctly and installed.

If you are going to spend that much money it seems to me like it should fit right.

EXACTLY......but no one has said if it is purely cosmetic or does it work to keep the windshield clean?

I would think it's purely cosmetic. It does look damn good, just not that damn good.
