Glare shields. HID help. Guru's chime in!

Im just about to try again with HID's in my reflector housing lights. I did once before on my last car and it lasted me just 1 night. So I wanted to know if there is a company or anyone who would know if I can get glare shields for the H4 style HID bulb to aid in the cut off. Website link/referral on here? Maybe there's a kit that has one built in like the Toyota Prius since that uses HIDs in reflector housing as well?

maybe even clifford can chime in and help. He's local in AZ, and will be getting my HID's through him again like before. So someone/anyone's help is much appreciated.

I bought my HID from mobile HID h4 4300k and i got the anti glare shield. Very good product. It is in the stock reflector housing. I've been using it for roughly 3 months, so far so good.

If you have a bulb with the halogen highbeam built in, you will have glare, no matter what.

I recall the set of H4 bulbs that Umnitza sends out has a very nice shield on em...

I just bought sonars and 9006 bulbs to eliminate glare entirely.

I've been on Cliff's site and haven't seen any anti-glare shield on his site. or for sale. any more info on how/where on the site you got the shield? thanks man.

They're usually attached to the bulb... otherwise, google 'casper shield'.

MobileHID definately offer the antiglare shield. If you aim him up he will show you a picture of it.

screw mobile HID, buy from a name that has been around for a long time..

McCulloch. you get what you pay for, and if they didn't come with glare shields, you paid for crap

Mobile HID.. mine have been on over a year. no troubles. stay away from McCulloch the ballast don't last and arent water proof and shock proof.

or you can do a Retrofit which is much better then ay plug and play kit. but it usually cost more and more time consuming. but the results are MUCH better.

search through the classifieds for Mobile HID. tell em firesquare sent ya ;-)

sorry, you seem to be bitter. However in Cliff's defense, i've had his products in the past and above the standards of quality he and the manufacturer offers to us consumers, it is his customer service that is above any and all I have dealt with and done business with as well. As for the longevity, he has also been on here for well over a year. His thread is pushing upwards to 200 pages. Please do more research yourself before making slanderous comments like that.
Happy holidays to you buddy!

Yep, I've known more people with McCullough kits that crap out after a year than people having problems with any other vendor.

You can fab up a set of these

http://www.casperselectronics.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?

Take them then merge then with the base of an OEM halogen bulb.

We did them back in the day :) like 1999 lol
Smashed the headlight in a bag
then soldered it to the shields ;)

after FULLY reading your first post
you have h4

no cutting required, just order and VOILA'

not PERFECT cutoff but better then without!

Happy holidays
