Default Glas Gard Windshield Protectant

http://www.thegsmstore.net/bg-glasgard1.htm

Has anyone here ever used this or heard anything [good/bad] about it?

Description

A cracked windscreen can be hazardous and replacement is expensive…
Your windscreen is bombarded everyday with rocks, road debris or other foreign matter. With GlasGard® you can now help protect your windscreen from these daily hazards. GlasGard bonds to your cars windscreen creating an impact resistant protective barrier. Lab tests indicate that windscreens protected with GlasGard see a reduction in damage from flying road debris. Rock chips reduce the strength of your windscreen by 90%. Those small rock chips not only ruin the look of your windscreen, but they can blossom into full windscreen replacement

Independent lab tests have proven that glass treated with GlasGard resists rock chips and can reduce actual chipping by 60%. When a BB gun is shot only inches from the windscreen, the un-protected side is damaged which could cost hundreds to replace. While the side protected with GlasGard has NO damage at all. GlasGard is invisible and easy to apply. Simply spray the GlasGard on a clean surface and let it air dry, that’s it.

Other treatments require frequent re-application but with GlasGard there is No reason to apply month after month, one application will last and protect for One Full year. A recent university study found that driving a vehicle with a water repellent coating on the windscreen improves visibility by 34% and response time by 25% in foul weather. Windows protected with GlasGard are easier to clean. Bugs, road film, mud, bird droppings wipe right off and in the winter GlasGard makes it easier to remove snow and ice from the windscreen.

On a microscopic level, glass is covered with many peaks and valleys. GlasGard actually fills these peaks and valleys creating a smooth, ultra-slick, surface that makes cleaning a breeze. GlasGard can also be used on shower doors, exterior windows and ceramic tile counters to protect from water spots and make cleaning quick and easy. GlasGard is the ultimate in glass protection.

Default windshield

I would love to use something on my windshield to protect it. I only have 3000 miles on it and it has a bunch of dinks in it already. I hope somebody has tried it and it works.

On a side note I just did my first oil change and i'm very happy

Default PHOTOBLOCKER

Did you see the add for PHOTOBLOCKER on there main page?
http://www.thegsmstore.net/sc-auto1.htm

Photoblocker: The revolutionary new product that makes your Licence Plate INVISIBLE to Photo Speed Cameras. Photo Blocker is a clear hi-gloss permanent reflective finish. When applied to license plates, the PhotoBlocker Spray creates a glossy finish. The glossy surface acts as a mirror to reflect a photo radar flash back to the camera overexposing the image. The unreadable license plate fools red light and speed cameras resulting in the issuance of NO traffic summons. The effect is similar to taking a flash photograph of oneself standing in front of a mirror. The resulting picture will be overexposed and unreadable.

To date the product has been vigorously tested by several police departments, investigative news crews and over fifty seven newspapers and magazines from around the world. Police departments in Australia, the Netherlands and Swedish TV have also conducted similar tests with comparable results. Photoblocker™ is a clear (does not contain glitter) anti-photo flash speed camera reflective license plate spray. Now you have a cost effective solution for protection against roadside photo flash speed and red light intersection cameras! Invisible to the naked eye, only you will know that your plates are protected! Lasts a lifetime. Only requires one treatment; does not wash off.
It would be cool if it worked, just like all the products on there page!

That honestly reads like something you would find on TheOnion.

However, I may try this Glas Guard stuff, only because it's $20 and I had my car for 4 days and already need a windshield replacement. UGH

I did a search on the web and it looks like this product is sold primarily in Europe. I would imagine that it is similar to that "As Seen On TV" product that fixes scratches on your eye glasses (I've never tried that either). It looks like it is something that might be best applied by a professional to ensure proper drying etc but that is only an impression.

I have had 1 windshield replaced already and the second one has a ding and a foot long crack in it as well. All in 1 year. That's what you get with a vertical windshield.

if you want the real stuff, it's called diamon fusion. it's not $20 and you cant buy it through the mail.
it's a process that is performed on your windshield with a gas.
i have it. this stuff is the real deal. comes with a 4 year warranty against chips. alsohas the added benefit of acting like rainX on steroids. never use your wipers again.

forgot their link: http://www.diamon-fusionusa.com/
