the number on the top should be either 50 or 500 -suspended (too lazy to log in)

So when you say 50, do you mean 50-59 or 50 even? If so, then how is his 56 the right number for the 1.5L size?

by 5 series he means that the little number starts with 5. like for instance my honda civic has a 1.6 liter motor and it has a 501 plate my wife had a honda domani with the same motor and her's was a 503. it's for japanese road tax purposes.

and if you wanted it to match the driver and the car you could get a 5 series with the letter Y next to the bigger numbers instead of the kangi, meaning you are not a japanese citizen....(just to be ultra authentic) that would be like JDM with USA flash. which would make it something like JUSDM or USJDM.

sorry been in japan for toooooo long want to see home like walmart and carl's junior and be able to order an extra special order like no pickles and have someone understand me

that link informed me that yes these plate are infact made in japan but does not garentee about yours. i could buy a kit to build a shelby cobra and show you a link that has shelby cobras on it, but doesn't mean mine is real.(not implying that i own a shelby cobra, or that your plates are fake). i just figured its a bad way to authenticate something. personally i beleve every JDM thing i see in this web site just because i'm not awstruck by the rariety of this stuff. no hate intended. i dunno i guess i just don't get the JDM thing.

Oh %*&$! I forgot about the number codes. I just got out my old plate from Japan and was thinking about sticking it on my Box--
But I drove a van there.. so my code there was 45-- 4 series are reserved for vans, lorries and the like. Oh well... I'm still gonna put it on!

That is a pretty sweet plate. I may have to pick up one if I can find one for a deal.
