I was going to have the 4.5 sq feet of glass installed in my xB back in July when I got it, but didn't feel it was worth the $1200. (My wife convinced me of this) Personally I like the dual 3630's that Raven has. The larger sunroof looks kinda slim from the inside to me. Kinda like the 04 Maxima sunroofs. (I know it's alot larger than the maxima's just a comparison)

just my 2cents of course.

Yeah, the #1 drawback to the 3630 is that's it's only a
12.5" opening, and " of that gets covered by the glass.

Sure looks good from the outside, and it's WAY wider then
any other moon roof I've seen.

I just read this post here. https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...ht=tc+accident

I wonder how the xB would hold up with that 524 installed.

yea that is how my 524 install looks as well ... you are not going to get a FLUSH install with this roof

think about how it works ? .... the front glass is higher then the back glass in order for it to slide OVER the back piece... this is how the roof is installed... if you were to have a flush piece... the back glass would have to sink lower then the front piece since they are not actually the same height from the outside

with the roof closed ... there is no noise

now with it open .. thats another story

its because of the built in deflector ... it pops up alore more vertical that most so the wind really hits it ... i mean you can drive with it open at 80 ... but its a tad on the noisy side

its not bad at all at slower speeds

Today, I got my xB back, and now have the Webasto Panoramic Sunroof in it. PICS I took tonight, at the beach, with the sun setting in the background...Oh, I hope the photos come out well. I'll get them on THURSDAY.

As to the roof itself, I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. Oh, my gawd. It's great, and brought back the 'new' car smell! Oh boy!

Man, there is NOTHING like driving down A1A, the beach to your left, the sun to your right...waves, clear blue skies, with the occasional palm tree overhead...

Nice. Best money I have spent on the Box yet.

I like Lonely Raven's set-up It doesn't look like you could block off the sun when you don't want it with the panoramic....or is there a cover that slides over? Does the extra support bracket cost extra? Either way, both setups are bad@$$ and it's better than having no sunroof at all like me ...haha

There are FOUR covers that 'slide' over, sort of like blinds. Or maybe that is the wrong word. Anyway, you can use these, and even have the roof open with them. The support bracket that comes with it? I did not notice an extra charge for it; the dude that did the install, told me it's all part of the package.

I love my roof.

Can you get a pic of the "blind shade" thing for the panoramic? Thanks!

I'll try. I just put a bunch of pics up. If you click the link for BOXCAR WILLIE, you'll find them. I think there is a shot of the roof from the inside...

That might work...who knows. Stranger things have happened.
