Default HELP!!! Installing ABS x-2 side skirts

HELP!!! I can't figure out how to install the ABS DYNAMICS x-2 side skirts, they came with some brackets, washers, self tapping and regular screws. How do these bad boys go on? I attached a picture so you can see the parts they came with, any help ASAP would be awesome, I would love to get theses on before dark.

I will let you know! The front and back is very easy, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had trouble with the sides.

I spent a total of 2.5 hours putting it on since I've never done it b4.

You will need a friend to help you hold the skirts so you can fit it and mount it on the car.

you should have recieved 4 clips with the skirts. a Z shapped clip with 2 holes on one side and a single big hole on the other.

the 2 hole side is screwed into the skirts with the smaller screws. you will need to place the clip on the inside of the skirt and place screw in from the bottom of the skirt into the clips. this will hold the skirts up. (Make sure you do you fitment to see where is the best place to mount the clips on the skirts so the skirts will have a good place to mount on the bottom of the car.)

in my case, my skirts were not 100% fitment. I would say 95%. this is because I saw gaps under my front and rear doors where the kit meets the car. I had to have my help push the kit in towards the car during mounting and that helped cover the gap up a bit.

Make sure after you mount the clips on the skirts you check the mounting point for the body prior to screw on the skirts.

I imagine it will take you about the same amount of time or even less if you have a friend to assist.

Hope this helped.

if you need any additional help, feel free to call me (erased) from Microvan. I will be glad to explain.

Jim

I just call ABS Dynamics 888-872-1288. They told me the bracket with the 2 small holes gets attached to the body + the large hole gets attached to the skirt. I dont' know who is correct? ABS or Scion life reply post ,as I didn't receive my kit yet??
****Any additional reply's from Scion LIfe Members???? ABS does not have paper instructions for their kits.

As per ABS Dynamic telephone instructions: the big hole on the skirt + 2 holes in the body, will it work better or do you forseen a problem. What your guess? I know you guys installed it the opposite way. Please advise- Thanks

I know either way would work, but I did run into a small problem using the big screws[longer] in the body because it has to go through 2 pieces of metal, it takes a little effort to get it all the way in. if you used the short ones [2] it would only go through the first piece of metal and attach eaiser. Either way would work, and I have been driving all day with mine on in the rain and on bummmmmmmpy roads and haven't had any problems at all. Let us know if you have any other questions.

yes, I had to take my rear wheels off now that I think about it. front wheels turn so I can put the screws in. rear had to take off the wheels to do so.
