Hello, first post here. I have been trying to put window vent visors on my xb and am running into fitment problems. It's that little indentation that is not lining up with the visor. My next choice I am looking at is the Wade brand visor. does anyone know if this one has that silly indentation in it too? So far have returned Lund/autovent visor and Weathertech. Any help or suggestions as to a good visor would be appreciated.

 

Wade does not have that indentation, and they do not rub against that nub.

My fronts fit fine, but pushed out the molding on the rear pretty bad so i removed them.

 

thanks for that Max, I am a little cornfused about what moulding is being pushed out to do that. Can you please elaborate? Thanks

 

That black **** on your window edge can be moved to line up with the visor indentation.
First pull down the rubber gasket in the window channel. Then remove the thin blue tape that holds the **** in place. Relocate **** to desired location and re-install that same blue tape. Re-install the rubber gasket into the window channel. Install as directed.

E-Sam's are better, and $235. Search for 'visor' for any information and see my thread called:

The Wades are good stuff and are cheap too. I got mine from Fuji at www.fujiz.com for under $75 easily.

Do what you like, but the Wade is a really good option. I've had zero problems with mine.

xbhawk, are those squeejee's on those visors? Thay are big and look really good on your ride. They have clips and tape? or clips to get the right position before you commit to the tape?

 

i got the wade in channel. the fitmet is pretty and it's under$50 on ebay.

 

Yes,correct, the ESAM has clips that are secured in the window channel (behind the rubber gasket) that hold the visor in the middle of the door frame. Pull out the double sided tape cover tabs and the visors are installed for life.
You can mount them without the clips as low on the door frame or as high on the door frame as you like.
See about those NPSTommy visors that came out, $130 is the group buy price, but they do not have that 'squeege' on them. The squeege thing is cool.
Aslo note: My ESAM's failed VA state inspection due to a law that says a visor can only hang down 2 inches from the door frame. Don't let the dealer inspect it.

 

Does anyone know if the Carbon Fiber B-Pillar Appliques interfer with the installation of the E-Sam visors? I asked this in the post about the NSPTommy knock-offs and he replied that they get in the way of his. What about the official E-Sams?

All the ones that I have seen that have the CF pillars have cut them in order for the Esams to fit. But if done right looks really good.
