Go ahead Jason tell them how you did it. Pictures look good, the last

I like it! I think the trim would look better with a CF spoiler to match...or if you painted the trim Camo.

Did you use the simulated CF vinyl over the tails garnish??? Looking closely to it seems like it....but I've been wrong before.

Yes, it was pretty easy as long as you warm the vinyl up. It molded around the corners pretty nice.

Looks cool, but don't get glass cleaner or rubbing alcohol anywhere near them.

Jason, do you have any pics of the signals/brakes lit up? I'd be curious to see...

meemomark - I notice on the last page he mentioned that the paint has a gloss finish and a topcoat was unnecessary.

well, I decided to do mine. I pulled out the old stock tails and went to town. Since my box is black cherry, I thought I would forego the taillight garnish.

For a really quick mask job, I stuck each light in a plastic grocery store bag, and found that it fit very easily. I used some tape to 'noose-up' the bag around the housing, and once I cut the lens out, there was very little detail masking to do.

The color I used is a bit darker, I think, than what Jason used. At the craft store, I found two different kinds of krylon stained glass spray. One was a very short can with a white label, and the one i used is pictured below. I think the pictures hardly do it justice - the curved portion of the lens where it meets the rear quarter looks so close to the body color it's scary. I have to admit, I'm curious to see how this holds up, but it looks GREAT right now.

im pretty sure both of you will want to put clear on it, otherwise it will fade and peel. i did that with my old car, and it didnt last too long, well like 4 months. also windex or any type of glass cleaner will speed up this effect. however i think that they both look really nice...if i had an xB, i would do it.
heres what itll look like in a couple of months...

and do not bash on the car...everything was parted out
