HID kit burnout stock wiring
I bought a Bi-Xenon hi/low kit and installed it according to the sellers instructions and all went fine since the 11th. This afternoon I discovered the right side light was out completly, no highs or lows. So I check all the connections, fuses, bulbs, and nothing changed. So I removed the HID bulb and replace the stock halogen and the bulb is very very dim, dimmer than the pocket flashlight I was holding. The left side is fine
.
So anyone have any idea what happened? I'm taking this in to the dealer first thing in the morning to see what they say. I just hope it isn't something major and will be covered under warranty. I have removed that kit and replaced the halogens back to stock. Hopefully they won't know there was ever an HID kit there to begin with. I did use the wire harness, but it had to be reconfigured to work with the H4 headlights.

hey i had the same problem with mine. you dont have to take it to a dealer. the xb come with a 10 amp fuse just change it to a 15 or 20 amp thats all.. i know exactly what you mean about the light being dim it scared me to but its just the fuse. and if its not that well then take it to the dealer.

the HIDs came one for a lil bit then i moved the ballast around to another place (car off) but kept the exact wiring an after that it doenst work anymore.
stock lights dont come one either. one side did (really dim) and then it just went out.
hoping its only fuses. going to get some tomarrow!
is running a higher amp fuse recommended or should i stick with 10 amps?
how much would a new harness cost me anyways..if the dealer wouldn't do it for me.

I'd replace the fuses with the stock halogen lights to make sure everything is cool, stick with the stock rating on the fuses. Once you get the halogens rocking again just hit me up on my site for a relay harness for your hid's I have them prebuilt for less than you can make them for!

Has a relay that connects to the battery, and a H4 connector that goes to the driver side factory H4 connection so your headlamp on/off switch will activate inside the car...from there there are two connectors for the hid ballasts (9006 ends) one long for the passanger and a short one for the driver side...if you have a hi/lo setup instead of a single hid it also has stubs that you connect the halogen bulb to using butt connectors..

hmmm 365Motorwerks, perhaps we need to make a sticky since we both sell HIDS about the dangers of purchasing kits that draw ALL thier power from the stock harnesses.
The stock harness is NOT designed to take all the draw from the Ballast startup amperage. some ballasts can take 20Amps per ballast . thats pretty high for a circuit that spike at 10amps that combination equals blown fuses or charred wires or worse a fire in the engine bay.
