Doug... I love your pictures. Nothing more exciting than seeing your nice xB than recognizing the background in every picture too. (I worked at that closed Papa Johns and used to drive in Sherwood F. on almost every delivery).

Nice fog lights... I really want to get some for my xB too.

What underbody lighting kit do you have? Your car looks awesome.

Looking great! Like the blue scheme.

I just did the same thing, 6000K fogs and headlights in stock housings. I got ones with a glare guard; the cutoff isn't perfect, but I think it stops me from blinding everyone. My fogs, on the other hand, seem to be aimed a bit high at the moment

As for the color, 6000K is a noticible blue tint, but not so much cops might take an interest (in my opinion). I'm debating dropping to 5000K, but that's just my preferences. Light output is unbelievable.

I've only been brighted by one person so far, so it can't be that bad. It was weird too because it was someone I had passed and they were driving a big ol truck. Go figure.

Do you mind taking pictures w/ just your parking lights and fogs on? I've always wondered what OEM fog light and/or HID fog light beam pattern is.

No can do, the fogs are wired to come on with the headlights.

The fogs really light up the sides, you can really see the difference between on and off.

I have to take off all the stainless steel panels to get to the headlight housing, if I remember the next time I have it off I will take pics.

Ok I for some reason I thought you could have parking lights on and fogs - I have yet to see any pictures of just fogs and just people that say they are a waste of money.

I figured I'd ask before I drop $230 on fogs and another $175 on yellow HIDs.

what did you do for the fuses provided in the 9006 kit? I do not know what to do with them. or where to connect the OEM connector to the black 'boy' connector coming from the harness in the kit.

are you talking about the ballasts? I mounted them next to the radiator, and the OEM connectory will plug into the connector on the ballast that you would mount on the drivers side.

you only need to plug one of the OEM plugs into the ballast, the other one is not used.

I ran the wiring harness right above the radiator.

hope that helps.

Well I just snatched up a pair of OEM fogs offa e-bay. Time to save up for HIDS. I think I'll just put yellow bulbs in them until it comes time for HIDS.

doug, im not talking about the ballasts. I know what those are and what they look like! lol......I got 2 green and 2 clear fuses in my kit as well and I dont know if those need to go in my fuse box to replace my stock fog fuse or what. So when you got your kit, the little bag that came with the screws, there were fuses in there. what did you do with those?

You don't need to do anything with those, I just installed and they were good to go. after you explained I knew what you were talking about, lol I was trying to figure out where these fuses were!

run the wiring harness, plug everything in and you should be good!

Post pics when you get them in.

I think bossman is talking about the relays. They aren't necessary. A lot of HID kits come without them. I think they are supposed to hook up to the battery for protection against a power surge on start up.
