Default hood locks on bbist hood. any one done it.

just need some advice on how to do it. Top layer of the carbon hood is thin. so i dont want to f--k it up

It shouldn't be too much different than any other CF hood. I guess it all depends on what style you want. The big thing is to lay painter's tape down where you're going to drill to prevent splintering. Take your time and make sure you marked everything properly.

it sucks because the hood has two layers the bottom that is fiberglas then there is a small gap where i need to drill and then the top that is carbon and at that spot its a little thin so i may need to thicken it up with a few layers of fiberglass 1st.

or I may just have a shop do it and if they f--k up they owe me a new hood

Are you having issues with the hood moving while driving? If it latches tight, why bother with the locks?
