No, not vinyl. If your going to do this do it right. Paint is the only way. I think vinyl is going to look cheap. To be honest I don't really like the idea but that's my opinion and it's your car. Good Luck either way.

I agree, with both responses, paint is the way to go period. But if you are not sure yet them do the vinyl and see how it looks and if you like it do paint if not like Dane said take it off.

heres a lesson..
if the vynil dont match that black plastic perfectly, then it might look pretty out of place. Unless this is your goal..
anyway.. heres an idea of how it would look

If done properly it will look something like this

When I wreaked my box I had to do something to cover up the damage. So after doing the fiberglass work I decided to do this rather than paint it the stock color.

I'm still not sure if I like it or not. It's a combo of paint and vinyl and it gets lots of attention. Now I just need to smoke the headlights and buy some fogs.

You should not allowed to use Photoshop if thats what you call a "good" example.

EVERYBODY DUUUCK!!!!!!!!

Here comes the Hate rain.

You know what... If done properly, I would look cool though. Only thing is that the black tape or paint would look just thrown on. If theres was a way to recess the tape it would look amazing. (like the xd and xb2, they have that recess in the bumper)

What color do you need? When I went two-toned, the painter ended up painting my door sills as well. Since my car was originally BSP, it never came with the door sill black out tape and I ended up having to go custom from a local graphics house that does body wraps. I can get you the number of the vinyl they used, it matches BSP perfectly. BTW, to order from toyota would have ran me $270 for some tape, WTF?
