Well... The tires are nice...

I have to agree, that looks awful. Nice idea, just doesn't look as good as it sounds like it would.

well i personally love it.....but then again most label me as crazy...but then again i having gone thru more then a front headlight conversion on my xb i would say if you have the money go for it...but again be warned of the down time(not having a car) and also after it is done...the consequences of custom fabrication...

alot of people said the headlights i have done was too expensive and not cost effective when the subject of conversions was tossed around...i never really talked about planning on doing it on the forums till i had gone thru with it....it was an inspiration i had to go thru with it...not the opinion of others that urged me to do what i did...its one thing to talk about it...if your gonna do it by all means hey great but its not as easy as it looks...though some people may say so...and sometimes they may have some advantages that you dont in those cases perhaps...

do you have the money to slam it down for the parts and labor? y its taken me 2 yrs is because i had to pay as i went and give what i could and progress went as i could provide the parts/payment for labor... its hardwork for the builder and you yourself all around when it comes to a project car..

now i dont know your situation or if your really serious about it...the thought and look though again is beautiful...

again i'm speaking from my stand point and ive gone thru headlight/tailight conversion and custom metal widebody/hood/grill on my xb and i'm still waiting on the final touches in the interior and rims to get before mine is complete...some may have had it easier then myself...or more money to make it go by faster or connections or own a bodyshop....whatever the case my be i didnt find it easy b/c my first attempt failed and almost landed me bankrupt...with a cut up car that couldnt move before i found the shop the car resides in tuner solutions...which helped me so greatly i was so lucky to find them...and them be willing to work with me...

i'm not trying to deter you i'm just giving you a warning....that whole great power comes responsibilities/sacrifices type wanrning lol reguardless of what we all say go with what your heart tells you...it usually speaks the truth about you and to you...

if you do go thru with it...i'll really be looking forward to seeing the progress and final product...maybe by them mine will be complete and moving around hahaha

do it man, but like the crazy customizing lady said (I use crazy as a compliment cause her box is freakin hot) go around look at some of the hot rod shops and talk to the people that dealt with them, see if they thought the price and work was worth the money, once you find a good shop, show and tell them your idea, ask what they think and a price

I say DO IT! then drive it to Arkansas so I can ride in it lol

I did not read all of the pages so if said forgive me....

if you want to do it look into KIT CARS there used to be a kit out there to make a rolls royce vw beetle and a few other cars.

Would bring the cost down into the JDM body kit range.

yeah... i was on ebay once and a CORNER light for the phantom was 1400. soo... yeah. That would be a real cool car, but you may actually be able to buy a real phantom sooner.
