a Effing dear just came out and hit me from the median... thankfuly i was able to slow down to about 10mph before bumpin it... but the effer cracked the front bumper piece pretty good...

anyone know an "about" price range to get a Thunder Cloud Metalic replacement front bumper? it's almost un-noticeable but the dear fur thats stuck in the cracks gives it away a bit...

the lip alone for the front bumper from a dealer is......about $300-$350, so i cant only imagine the front bumper...is expensive!!

No way is 'accidental damage' covered by warranty. A warranty is simply a manufacturer saying "we used good quality parts with no defects and assembled them correctly. If our parts or assembly were defective we will fix it." (Of course there are time and mileage limits on that warranty.)

If something breaks, and it is NOT their fault, they have no desire nor need to fix it for free.

You have insurance, right?

Ya, awhile back I hit a big a$$ rabit and it cracked my bumper. I called my insurance and they covered it. It was worth it cuz my deductable is only $100 bucks. My girlfriends dad manages a body shop so I got a good deal on the repair but its hard to get a deal for the parts. Try ebay.

i have full coverage on it so it should be covered... what about the paint though? would my insurance cover the paint or no?

my worry now is not having making paint. sure i might get them the right color, but it will most likely have too much metalic in it or not enough of it or something else. it alwasys happens to what i see so how would i get around this because the only paint shop that i know of and have seen around here is that Macco or whatever...

Do you have a custom paint job? If not the front lip comes to the body shop pre-painted so all they do is bolt it on. If you have a custom paint job then I'm sure the body shop will know to put that on the estimate. I don't see why they wouldnt cover that.

The lip is 350.36 installed and comes pre colored. The main bumper piece is 167.28....254.99 installed but not painted. It comes unpainted. The paint work will likely cost a minimum of $200. so for the main piece expect $450-$550 painted and installed.

Collision estimating system makes it pretty easy for this type data. The above amounts are quoted at $38 per hour BTW.
