lol, I thought the same until I saw the diamond plate pattern...look beyond the box. *ahem* no pun intended.

It's diamond plate, and you nay sayers should try chain drilling .040" aluminum diamond plate sometime. Thanks for the kind words. :D

It does look good, as far as accuracy of the drilling and workmanship is concerned...

But to be honest, I couldn't tell it was diamondplate either.. Perhaps it's the picture...

But you may want to try a different material that doesn't make it look like it's bent and crumpled. Or maybe leave some more material around the border so you can get the full effect of the diamond plate...

Anyway, keep up the good work!

 

Next time I'll just borrow a friends digi-cam instead of my phone. I appreciate you trying to word that in a polite fashion. It shows a certain sophistacation.

 

Cool idea, I think the diamond plate pattern is too close for such a small emblem. A larger one to hang on the wall would'nt end up looking like crumpled foil. "A" for effort though.

You think you could make me one that is about 12" by 12". I'd like that to hang it in the garage. How much? heheh.

 

That's what I'm talking about. In the shop or show display. I'm curious also about a price for a larger piece.

 

the reason it looks crumpled is because of the reflection in the diamond plate. kinda like taking a picture of a drinking glass. too much reflection with objects in the background behind the camera.

 

at first look, i thought it was imitation dynamat :D but nice job on the cutout mang.

 

i didn't want to post anything when i first read it because i too thought it was foil. forgive me, i now see that it is diamond plate, which doesn't make it look better in the picture, but leads me to believe it looks better in person. i give you props for making that and for being original.

Well I'll make one in larger scale and pull a few tricks to clean it up then I'll take pics with my friends digital camera. And if after that anyone wants it, let me know. Until further notice............
