What type of lip are you installing, my friend? I just installed my NY package lip Tuesday and have also installed a Kenstyle lip on my xB as well. Pretty easy install.

Its a BB illusion style front lip. I am just wondering what all I am going to have to do in order to put this lip on. The place I ordered it from said it should be installed at a professional shop. But I have seen so many people do it themselves on here

Nah....I shop would just charge you for taking the front bumper off and attaching it.

Its easy as pie. Take your front bumper off. Once it is off, look underneath where your oem lip is located. You will see how it is screwed into little metal clip retainers to stay attached to the lip and bumper piece. Just remove those screws, slide the bottom lip off, and replace it with that new lip you have. The benefit about that front lip is that it uses all of the factory mounting points, so it is kinda self-explanatory. (You will see what I mean when you remove the front bumper.)

Trust me, the hardest part is removing all of the screws to take the front bumper off because it is kinda time consuming. Good Luck.

do you really have to remove the whole front bumper or just jack up the front and get underneath it to remove the lip?

You can try the method of jacking the front up, but it will be a true headache as he will have to remove the screws and clip retainers that hold the oem lip on from above inside the front bumper. It will truly be a pain trying to do it from just jacking the car up underneith because of all the mounting screws on the OEM lip.
