Ok, so I just received these today, and there are no instructions with them. I took them out and tinkered with it, but the only "channel" I can see to put them in is the channel that the window goes up into. Meaning when I roll up the window it hits the visors.

I must be doing something wrong, or there is something that I am just not getting. Would anyone care to clue a dumb person in?

I had the LUND in-channel visors. And yes, they go inside the rubber gasket that the window goes up into.
Search for visor in the exterior section.
That is why 'in-channel is inferior', they can scratch the glass and cause the gasket to buldge and de-form.
I switched over to E-Sam's, stick on the outside and I love them.

Yeah the e-sams are WAY out of my price range. I looked through a chunk of the visor posts, but no one talks about installing them and how it is done.

I guess what I am curious about is, how do you make it so that the windows do not "clink" off of them when you put the window up? There has to be a way or so many people wouldnt be recommending them.

I have the wade inchannel visors.

personally..i like them. The Esams were out of my price range as well.

As far as installlation - its a snap. fit them up in the channel..and slowly remove the tape. You might want to start peeling off a corner as you are fitting them up there..so you have something to grab onto when you need to remove the tape. then when they are in place..just pull off the tape.

close your windows...do not open them for about 3 days...


make sure you wash the 'channel' with the alcohol wipes they gave you. or just use a q-tip with some rubbing alcohol. if your window channels are dirty your visors wont adhere well.

At this point (about 6 months), you can see that my weatherproofing is a little out of wack..aka it looks like it bulges in certain spots..but it hasnt had any negative effect.

I stripped my doortape (the tape surrounding the windows) - another reason i didnt want to get Esams. Wouldnt make any sense to remove the tape covering the windowsills only to cover it up with a visor..

Alright, i got these installed after Alex showed me exactly what was going on. All of them fit very well except for the passengers side front. It seemed about 2 or 3 mm too long. I got it in there, but there is some stripping showing. I will just grab some black paint and paint over the adhesive, then none will be the wiser.
