Default jdm rear lip

just fyi, if you plan to purchase a jdm lip kit. check to see which license plate style they have for the bB. there are 2 styles, the one like ours in the hatch, and the license plate in the bumper. i was looking at a lip kit from topline, but the rear lip has a cutout for the license plate that extends into the bumper, where ours is flush, so i doubt it would work. if anyone knows otherwise, let me know

That's the lip kit, for the first generation bB (99-2003) , and it will not fit the US version without removing the rear bumper support, Sean

what is the bumper made from? Being aftermarket, it's probably ABS - and if so, that's an easy fix. Cut out the offending section and you can use ABS solvent-glue in new peices. Looking at the photo, there's more than enough plastic that would be cut out to use to form the new contour.

Glue it all together (which the seams would be STRONGER than the surrounding plastic), sand it all good and flush, add a skim coat of glaze filler and paint it - take your time and you would never know that recess was there.
