Default Mod'ing the bBist/Ebay projectors

I was wondering if anyone has modified the bBist/Ebay projectors into actual hid's. Have some hid parts lying around and was looking to see if anyone has completed the swap.

hey, i was wondering if its possible to cook projectors too? like to paint the housing a diff color instead of black/chrome? say a color matching? if so, will it ruin the projector lens or anything? and IF I CAN how do i do it? just like regular, or what?

i have HIDs in my sonars...

i actuly sent a set of sonars to be colormatched to my car... they cam back and didnt look good at all.. the design of the headlights really let the paint pool in some areas... and there were also runs in it... IMHO... not the best idea out there, but then again, im a perfectionist, and if you dont mind a little run in the paint then go for it... it cost me $80 to paint them, i can see that question coming...

hopes this helps a little

the sonars are a 9006 bulb for the proj, and a 9005 for the highbeam...

Just did a retro-fit on the sonar projectors. Used RX-8 projector. Most any projector you use you are going to have to cut the back of the housing where the three cap mount rings are. Besides the back they fit pretty much perfect.

Anzo's are H3 for lows and H1 for highs... which are the lights NMexico has on his Evo.

didn't seem like anyone answered the question, but yes you can cook the projector housings and it won't affect them. i sanded my chrome ones and painted it with high temp black. i've put my in the oven several times to modify them and they're still looking good. and you do it the same way, but my suggestion is make the temp higher by 15 from what you usually would do it at.
