Mud Flaps Anyone?
I've been actually thinking about fabricating some mudguards for my xA. I do a lot of highway driving and it's usually raining. I rarely wash my car (don't have time!), so I can gauge where the dirt "hot spots" are...

Probably not thought about much anymore as most new autos have them already.
Please post or pm pix when you get done. I will do the same.

Just Say No to mud flaps. They really don't need them cause the tire has no direct line to the exterior sheetmetal. If the tires kick anything up it stays in the wheelwell. Plus it will not look good and youd have to drill holes. Shall I go on????

Here are some but will require some drilling to mount http://mudflapsusa.safeshopper.com/71/cat71.htm?939
For even more protection they make this stuff for around the whole wheelwell that only sticks out 2 1/4" inches to keep the side of your car clean.

your local autoparts store will usually carry some kind of universal rubber mudflap (autozone, under $10 a pair)
in fact, i did stainless steel mudflaps, measured to 1/4" from the ground when i fully drop my xB -- needless to say; i crumpled them in less than two weeks.
RUBBER next time

What type of MUD issues do you have that would warrant mudflaps?
(yuck!) Are you trying to postpone your wash intervals?
Why mess up perfect bodylines with something as ugly as mudflaps???
I don't see the real need
