ok here is the new grill for DOA, it has rained all week off and on, so the paint did not do like I wanted, so I need to repaint it, and with chalkboard paint to match the EZ eyelids.
I have not lit it up yet so no night time pics yet either.

hey, have you figured out how to make the lights flicker so they give the flames that "real" look?

 

thats not a bad idea.

 

you would need red, yellow, and orange leds in a lightly scuffed tube, and a way so that they would just quickly fade one at a time on and off, as the red was goin off yellow would come on then orange, and so on, maybe even have it so the colors alternate, red/orange/yellow/red/yellow/orange and so on

 

I have some solar led tiki lights in my yard that flicker like that.

 

the grill looks cool but it looks kind of funny not being the same color as the car.

 

That's why I said I am going to repaint as soon as I get some more chalkboard paint.

whoops! must have missed that part. cant wait to see it when you can get it painted.

 

You should write; "This is chalkboard paint, please leave me a message" on the side door in chalk. Then tie a string with chalk on your mirror so when you park people can leave nice messages on your car.

 

I'm not sure only "nice" messages will be written.
