you bent your strut not your shock, a bent shock would never do anything like that. you are looking at at least a grand i'd say. You may need to repalce the hub and wheels and tires too. doenst look like much, but could be very costly

well i took off the tire and the shock is kinked and bent, other then that i dont think anything else is wrong. the metal panel above the wheel is fine with no dents or scratchs. But imm just soo mad that this even happened, the car is every bit of 3 weeks old.
Well, let me know what you think as far as damage goes. How much do you think it will cost to fix everything? (bumper, lower grill piece, shock) I have some pics below.
I work at a body shop in Chino, seeing what damage you have in the pics is one thing, however there is a probabilty of additional hidden damage, especially with the suspension involved, thats the biggest cost, next to the paint and the labor.
i got hit by a 92 year old drunk guy driveing a brand-new lexus!!
simi-head on he was turning into oncomming traffic like the roda was clear and boom!... i had to replace almost everything on the drivers side front.. bumper, hood, finder head light fog light raidiator...etc ended up costing like 5 g's....

well it turns out i need a new strut due to it being bent, new ball joints....new control arm...that was bent, and some other litlle things.....it totaled to be $700 fixed. But thats with no body repairs....imm sure that will be a few hundred
imm goin to pick it up in alittle bit! for now i just got the suspension and wheel fixed, so i can drive it to school. but im going to get some body quotes tommarow. let me know if you know and good body shops in the rochester/ metro detroit area
