are we talkin full size ladders? it woiuld look horrible but ypu would probably have to make it yourself.

the xB wasnt meant to be a worksite vehiche. maybe a pickup or something like that would be more sufficent for ya.

get ready for the flaming!!

Take a look at the rack this poster fabricated. I know it is not a ladder rack--but maybe you can get some ideas. I see a lot of xB's being used for commercial purposes--but none with a ladder rack YET.

How big a ladder are you gonna carry?

You can remove the rear compartment and seats and get plenty of room, maybe get one of those folding aluminum ladders.

For an extra $400 I would carry that ladder on a bike. I love the way people tell you what your car was meant to be used for then prepare you for insults. Once you mount the ladder on your box post some pics.

I have to carry ladders occasionaly when I do jobs on site. My Yakima rack works just fine! Just use a couple ratcheting ties and your set. I'll see if I can post some pics of this soon.

latter rack, pepboys has a box style clip on roof rack that can be removed. I'm sure with a little modification it could fit a 14' latter with an extentsion on the top. Here in vegas I've actually seen it done

what about a little giant ladder + a yakima or thule roof rail system w/ crossbars. I'm sure you could figure out a secure mounting system with those two things and maybe some U bolts or something. Just a thought.

i've actually seen two xb's here in town that have ladder racks on the roof. If i see then again i'll do my best to see if i can figure out who makes them. I think one guy is a home inspector and the other is a wallpaper installer. Both had 8 foot ladders on top.
