Default new here - just bot my box ? about tails and projector

Hi All

I just got my box...love it. Had to scrimpe to get it.

As most I am poor..but love mods, so I just want to get things right the first time.
Can't afford flubbs.

Anyway..I love the led tail lights. I heard the Anzo are the best. I like the red/clear ones.
second, I want projector headlights, but I heard they fog and blow bulbs...
I love the Halo ones, I heard again the Anzo 2nd genertaion are best...

HELP......DON'T KNOW WHICH TAILS AND HEADS TO GET
THANKS
Rachel

I got the Anzo projectors from Ebay about 9 months ago:

they do fog every so often but not often enough to get upset about. I put a Techone 8000K HID kit in since the lights that come with the projectors are pretty weak.

are these the tail lights you are talking about:

if so these are nice. I can't make up my mind which tail lights I want. too many desicions.

Yeah, those are them. I have a black box, but I think the red/clear are more up to date than the clear ones. I like the black ones to, but I think they look to much...anyone else have the black ones on..

The easy way to make a mistake is to get all excited and try out all the great mods as soon as possible. I went hog wild and made several mistakes. Take your time, reasearch all possibilities on this site.

The first MOD that you shoud make is the installation of a CABIN AIR FILTER in the empty CABIN AIR FILTER tray behind your glovebox. Scion sells it's cars with NO cabin air filter, if you can beleive that! (It's true). Go to auto zone or advanced and buy one for about $12. Do not go back to the dealer and pay about $23. Or really save by making one yourself a cabin filter.

See all the photo's in the thread called 'Fabricate your own CABIN AIR FILTER' in the TECH section. This describes how to pop off your glove box to access the filter tray. This will greatly reduce the amount of dust that ends up on your dash board.

Welcome, happy modding, but go slowly lest ye get burnt and feel regret.
I spent over $2000 in mods without exhaust, without intake, without wheels & tires, without lifting or lowering it. Don't let this happen to you. (Update your profile and post pictures.)

the Anzo projectors use a H3 bulb for the low beam. like I said the amount of light with the bulbs that come with the projectors are pretty weak. they are good if you drive around during the day but at night they don't really light up the road like you think they would. That's why I did the HID lights. one of the best investments I have done.

x2 what xBHawk said.

I dropped coin on the tyc tails, and then later found that candied stockers look unbelievably awesome on the BCP.

I did get some of the 3-led-under-the-signal halos before i even had the box, but I found a steal on ebay, private party seller who wrecked his box b4 they could be installed. $55 to the door. they do fog everyonce in a while, but i just take out the signal bulbs and stick a hairdryer up there. The halos have gotten a bit weak, so i may take the housings out soon, unseal them, re-halo them with EL wire, and seal em up good 'n tite.

what color's your box?

Thank you I just got the filter yesterday. Anything to keep this box clean. I can't afford another car for 5 years..
