Default New Hitch and carrier day!!

I got really tired of cramming our bikes into the back so now were set!!

Its the Bell fold up 2 bike carrier found at walmart and a uhaul hitch with a 1 1/4 extension. It worked out great because the carrier can be made to fit a 2" by adding the extra material so that my gf can use it on her car.

I was really considering getting a roof rack again but I had one in the past and the ones that are the "cheaper" ones required the front wheel to be taken off and that can be a major pain in the ___ ! I almost got the ones where the bikes hang from the rack but I like this form better.

Overall im really impressed with the setup!

I went to my local Uhaul to buy and install the hitch. They did a fantastic job and only charged me like 13 bucks to have the hitch installed onto my xb. The hitch cost me 176.00 bucks from them. I did not get a light harness because I have no intentions of towing anything just to have the carrier onto it.

Please show your setup and how you lug around your bikes I would love to see more!

question: anyone know if I can remove this U shaped fastener at the end of the exhaust tip? its causing some rattling. What is it?

Default ...CLAMP.....

That is a muffler clamp. It holds the two pipes together.
Looking at that photo, I would first try to loosen that clamp and reverse the direction of that U shaped clamp.
It may not make contact if it is reversed, also the nuts will be easily accessible.
If it still makes contact, you can have that pipe welded at your exhaust shop.

Who put in your rack?

Default ...NICE BIKE....

Looks like your bike has more mods than your box.
Nice light. Cool chain gaurd.

Hope the ratteling can be silenced.

Also, it is my duty to alert you to the fact that Scion does not provide a Cabin Air Filter in the Cabin Air Filter tray behind your glove box. See tech thread called "Fabricate your own Cabin Air Filter" in the TECH section. See photos of how to pop off the glove box to access tray. It is often called a pollen filter, it will keep your dash free of dust.

Be sure that you have one.
An empty tray is like an empty mind.

We had 1 in ours... unless this is an inside joke. I've changed it twice.

OP: I like the set up. What was the cost of the actual carrier (not the hitch)?

Hey guys turning the clamp around helped!

The carrier is 139.00 and can be found at walmart. I don't see it online anywhere.

Thanks mwolfe25!
