I've been thinking about doing this for a little while now, finally got down to it and did it...$5 can of paint, and some masking tape...viola! the paint built up quite a bit, so the edges arent as clean as I had hoped, but all in all, for $5...its one of the better looking mods for that price I think!

 

which paint did you use? did you sand it? primer? thanks.

 

rustoleum...no sanding or primering...just clean the surface really good, and cross ur fingers and hope your spraying technique is good, or else u end up with a runny surface, or one thats not smooth and glossy and looks dull and bumpy. Longest part of the process is masking the letters and symbol...kind of a b*tch!

Its the distance from the center of the hub to the outer edge of the wheel. If its a negative offset, then the wheel would normaly have a fater style lip that can be seen. If its a possitive offset, then the wheel tucks under the car.

I think the amount of heat it is going to be subject to, shouldn't be a problem...we'll see tho...I know the studs were absolutely COOKING when I took em off...we'll see...I was tempted to go with a duplicolor hi-temp paint...but didn't think it would get hot enough for that...but I'll keep you all posted!
