So I installed a Randode underhood kit. It's a nice addition, I think.

The underhood kit is pretty tight. I really like how it comes through the grille.

 

Lookin good! with that grill does the engine bay get dirty pretty fast?

Thanks guys. They're cathodes, I only have two of the wired up (the kit has four) I'm planning on extending the wiring of the other two and seeing if I can't illuminate the lower grilles as well.
The engine bay gets only slightly dirtier with the grille, I've had it on there since early December and the dirt hasn't really gotten bad enough to annoy me.

It was pretty easy. The biggest pain was running the wires through the cabin. It would be really easy if you were a circus contortionist. Otherwise, I was done in under an hour.

looks tight man. those HID's are pretty blue, what temp are you running?

 

They're 6000K. They aren't as blue in person, but they certainly have a nice color to them.

 

That grille practically cries out for some lighting. The cathodes are teh sweet. Got any engine bay shots from the front? Or are the cathodes mostly for the exterior look?

I pretty much installed the kit with the intention of illuminating the grilles. The fact that my engine bay can be seen in the night is more of a bonus for me.

And racer... I love the color of my kit. There's snow on the ground here and the blue is almost amplified by the snow. The visibility is great too. I'm really happy with them.
