Default Paint Problems with My RS3.0

I know from the forum that the paint is not that tough. I just finishing waxing my RS3.0 today and noted some black specks in the paint. I'm pretty sure it is in the paint, because when I run my hand over it, I don't feel an imperfection in the paint like something was on top of the paint. After the clay bar and trying my fingertip, no luck with getting it off. It is on the rear driver's side door and quarter panel. Has anyone else with an RS3.0 or any other xB have the same thing? I'm not sure there is anything that can be done about it. I really don't want them to repaint it. It is hardly noticable, but I'm a car guy and I notice these things.

The car has only 500 miles on it and I've owned it since 3/06 - New addition to the family prevented my from doing much too. Ironically my daughter was born on St. Patrick's day, I guess if the car last long enough, it will be her car.

mmm, more like a mild paint thinner like mineral spirits, denatured alcohol is even less harsh. Try a wax & grease remover too, it will probabaly be your best bet and you can buy a small amount.
But yea it sounds like it might be waxed over, and that makes marks hard to come out. If the wax & grease remover doesnt do the trick, and you cant rub it out w/ your fingernail after that... then it has to be in the paint.

If its on top of the clear coat, and its not grease or tar, you might try some fine grit rubbing compound. If it comes out after that, you might want to use some swirl remover, and then wax it again.

Hope this helps
