Default Painted Scion Emblem

We were speculating in the Wheels & Tires forum about how the chrome trim rings would look painted. Someone suggested using the transparent paint, like the Testors or stained glass paint that we use on the tails. Well not sure if anyone has already tried this (probably), but I used a Scion emblem as my test piece to get an idea of what it would look like. I didn't clean or prep it before the test, so it has some texture, but I think this would look pretty good on the BSP grill. No masking needed either.

My camera isn't very good, but you get the idea. And the paint is available in a number of colors. I like the red. Think it will look good on the chrome trim rings for the steelies.

I would expect it to look better than the emblem, due to the fact that that paint was pretty much designed for chrome. The emblems aren't as shiny to begin with.

I ripped my stock exhaust tip off awhile ago, and I'm going to try it on that to get a more accurate idea of what it will look like on chrome.
I'll see what happens.

What is the brand of the stained glass paint and where do you get it? Online, or do stores have it?

I think Krylon makes one. I used the Testors Transparent Candy Apple. I found them both at Michael's and Hobby Lobby. I have actually been seeing the Testors at Walmart lately too.
