Has anyone painted their strut bar? (I know the lava's come orange) But otherwise, is it doable? And does anyone know a cheap strut bar to get and paint?

 

it could be painted, but a more durrable way to go would be to have it powder coated.

 

would I paint it just like the engine cover, say, with a little primer then the heat-resistant spray enamel? How would that hold up you think?

 

scuff it up real good with a red scotch-brite pad.
you probably dont need primer, but its not a bad idea.
spray with your favorite paint (it does not need to be heat resistant)

should hold up ok. its not powder coat, but should be ok.
