So through connections, I can get my Scion xB painted. All I have to do is pay for the paint. What kind of paint do professionals use? I'm sure when I talk to the guy who is doing it for me, he'd tell me what he uses or what is recommended. But I am going for a nice glossy black or perhaps are REALLY DARK blue, almost black. I'm just wondering if anyone has any recommendations?

Also, my friend who works with steel offered to build me a grill. He can do some pretty cool stuff. I dont know what kind of material grills are usually made out of, but how is steel? Of course it is going to be painted, but I basically want a chrome look, a really shiny billet style grill. If he can build me the grill using steel, can it be painted/powdercoated and look alright?

I'd talk to the man doing the paint job.He knows what he is comfortable using.That way you should get a good job.DO THE DOOR JAMBS!As far as a grill,stainless will polish up like chrome.You can powder coat just about any metal.So have at it.Of course we will need pictures posted when it's done.

 

Most definately, The guy who is doing the paint is a friend's uncle, but he is in mexico, so im waiting for when he gets back then im gonna talk to him about it.

And my other friend is taking a look at my car and grill to make sure he can do everything correctly and the best he can. and i know he can do it well. I'm going to get that powerder coated then, it should turn out awesome. any ideas on custom grills?

Sure it is already "custom" being that it is a one of a kind grill that he made, but any ideas as far as perhaps patterns or looks, anything just crazy? We were brainstorming and couldn't think of much. I'm into music so he was thinking of incorporating something of that sort into it. *shrug*
