push the top of the mirror back to tilt it all the way up. Then use your fingers or a screw driver to pop the bottom the mirror out, (there are 2 clips on the bottom of the mirror and then the top hinges will just pull out.) Reverse the process to reattach the mirror.

I got a carbon fiber cover with turn signal from scionsport.com but did not like it very much. I
decided cut and modify the part and stick it to my
mirror. I looks just like the rs 2.o but built in and not
like a cover at all.

I don't have a picture yet but as soon I get one I will show you how it came out. The reason I wanted to remove the mirror was so when it got painted it looked professional.
One more thing, I am new at this so it might take me a little
while to figure out how to post pics.

Very carefully...

These are from www.carbigncraft.com. The turn signals were my own addition.

Started on the driver side mirror this weekend. Had a tuff time removing the bottom screws that hold to the base and damaged two in the process.

I have a question with the actual mirror again.
If I just pull from the bottom of the mirror it will pop out?
Feels like it will brake.
