Default projector question...can I use 1 bulb...

just got the projectors with eyebrows off of ebay. it has a spot for turn signal, projector, and high beam. now my question, can you use a single bulb in the projector part that does high and low beam, kinda like the stock headlights? will that mess up the projector itself, too much heat? I want to put strobe lights in the housing, preferably in the spot where the high beam light goes, but there isn't very much room at all. any help would be appreciated. Bill

Nope not going to work. The cutoff shield in the projector would be in the way if you flicked it on the highbeam. The way Bixenon(lowbeam/highbeam) projectors work is when you flick on the highbeam, the cutoff shield moves down via solenoid.

so let's say the solenoid is disabled, then no problem right? with this wonderful rain I might have to do some experimenting.
