Default Question about the TYC tails..

Hopefully these are the TYC tails...

regardless, could these tails be popped opened and the black section painted white to match the color of the polar white xb? Think it would look ok?

Does anyone have these tails installed on a white xb currently? The black trim has me thinking that they wouldn't look right.

Thanks.

i personally think the black helps with the look around the window. opening aftermarket lights are a risk also.

I have these lights on my XB and they are D.O.T. certified, so you do not have to worry about the aftermarket problems with the Police. Most Scion dealers are offering them as an option now, since you can only get this version of TYC lights from the Toyota dealers or authorized dealers of Toyota parts( thats what I was told, but did not confirm).

Deputy Dawg.

P.S. pic of lights in my profile.

Ditto dawg...they do have toyota part no# on them and I've had mine since the first came out last year. They do not have the same problems as other aftermarket lights, they are made very well nwith very durable materials.

I think they look good justhe way they are and not take the risk of opening the light and resealing them as not to cause water condensation. The white car in the picture posted is actually my car. I've pretty happy with the lights and they look pretty cool.
