red out
I have a buddy with a VR6 GTI with smoked tail lights, however, his brake lights are white. Where do yall get the spray red out stuff. I was telling him about it, hes looking for the bulbs to, thats another story, anyone???
everyone was posting that you could get red vht metal tint at pep boys/ kragen etc...etc., but I could not find any of it at any of those palces. I eneded up ordering it here:

Stuff works realy well, and it is made for high heat applications.

If he is looking for red bulbs he has a few options.
He can buy bulb "condoms" for his existing white bulbs.
(If they fit tight they work pretty well. Unfortunately they don't usually fit well.)
He can buy red bulbs from companies like Raybrig.
(They work ok, but turn pink pretty quickly.)
He can buy Colorine brand bulb dye, and dye standard bulbs.
(These look identical to the Raybrig bulbs, and work about the same. The advantage is, you can continue to dye the bulbs yourself.)
He can buy replacement LED bulbs in red.
(These work well if the tail lights do not have an integrated bulb cover.)

This is what I used. Bought it at Michael's. If you go looking for it there though, it's kept nowhere near the rest of the spray paint. It was kept next to all the other stained glass crap. It cost about $6 a can. One can was more than enough to do my tails on the xB. HTH
