removing rear spoiler
im thinking about taking off the rear spoiler. if i may recall, others who have done it said they had to fill the two holes that were drilled on the roof. first things first, what do i need to do to remove it, and second, when removed, what do i use to fill up the holes and make it look like it was before? tips are greatly appreciated.
First off... Why would you???
But to answer your question, pop the two tabs off the top of the spoiler, one on each side. Unbolt the bolts (two total) Pull the spoiler straight away from the rear, the plugs will pop out.
Now you will need to remove the two plastic pieces the plugs fit into, It all depends on the installer on how those are installed, probably glue.
Not you have four holes to fill. If you do it yourself, bondo itself will not do the trick as the holes are about 1/2" apiece. You could take it to a pro or weld in some panels to fill the hole. With that repaired and sanded down, paint it. Again, a pro should do the work, expect roughly $100 to spray the top.
Is all that time and money worth it? That's up to you.
Oh. Moved to DC...

Two bolts under the caps at the top of the spoiler. Push upward and it will come off. You also have to content with 3m tape.
Once off, there will be actually 4 holes that will need to be filled. Your only option is to take it into a body shop and have the holes welded, filled and the upper section repainted.
I say only, because if you are asking how this comes off and what not, I doubt you have body work experience. I am not trying to be mean, so my apologies if it sounds that way.
