Default roof rack all done

ok so this started as a small project just to carry some stuff on a trip, but snowballed in to this 3 day build. I think it turned out pretty good. here is a link to my blog with some pics http://asthewrenchturns.blogspot.com/

Nice! I like the install idea to the body.

I've hesitated going with a Yakima type because I don't like the clamp = scratch/discoloration install.

Your idea is clean, simple and easily filled and covered if removed.

Also, good luck on the VW pickup. My dad had a crew cab (3-door) version and I remember driving it. A great ride!

i love the stripe on the bottem of your car...normaly i hate them..but that looks awsome. and coming from the VW world i deff like the rack.
