Several months ago I saw an xb on the road that had led taillights and when he had his turn signal on they would scroll in that direction, does anybody know about these? I need some!

 

That's sound a bit chincy and friggin sweet at the same time! I doubt you can buy them. Definately a DIY.

The only ones I have seen were custom made, with a writeup on this site. I have not seen any for sale.

 

believe it was scotty17 or somthing like that here on SL.... he was, way back when, willing to make the drivers for the turns for people for a price.... i orderd all the info/parts for them.... just havent done it yet... .life keeps happening... but one day.. i shall have them

 

yeah it was scott17 he lives around here and they do look awesome. i saw them makin the the lights and it looks like a lot of soldering.

 

Yeah, I have them as well as the third brake light that lights from the inside sequencing outwards. They are very labor intensive to make as every led has to be soldered to boards and the drivers have to be made and programmed. Ned has some also and he can tell you how long it takes to do.

on the plus side i did find and order some blank 7440/43 bases that will plug into the existing sockets... just gotta figure out the polarity thing .. LEDs dont like reverse voltage

What a slick idea... I saw LED lights on a motorcycle a couple of years ago where the design would keep swirling around clock-wise - like a toilet - and when the brake was pushed, the brake light would light up entirely.... it'd be hot to have a set of LED lights for the xbwhigh had like 4 vertical lines and they lit up from the inside out as you brake'd....

a lot of mustang guys do that, too. sequential tails. i love it. looks freakin awesome. i'd do it to mine if i was willing to put that much money into turn signals.
