The thing that always annoyed me about those is why isn't the turn and reverse LED too? It just seems kinda half-@ssed to me.

They're cheap ricer lights. If they weren't half assed they wouldn't be as popular. :D

Are you saying that there is a better xB taillight on the market? I haven't seen one. I love the way JDM Helix tails looked (esp. the clear ones) but their functionality leaves something to be desired.

The reason that the turn signals don't match is that to make them flash properly is difficult and expensive to produce. Most production cars with LED tails still use regular bulb for turns and reverse lights.

candied stock lights look better than altezzas.

I've had two sets that I painted myself (backpainted the lens) that I liked but they were maybe half as bright as the Anzo LEDs... What I'd really like to try is stock lenses on Anzo housings, and chrome garnishes on top of that... that would be killer.

i have fixed that and it looks MUCH better... and im not talking slapping ghetto illegal and not even close to bright enough "LED bulbs" in the sockets.

these are the best looking LED tail lights (black and red versions, not chrome) on the market from what I have seen. There are some more expensive ones but they look rather awkward. People will pay a little more for something that actually looks nice.

i guess to each their own. "candied" stock lights look great until they illuminate. then they look like crap. look at pictures that have been posted on this board of them working with the turn signal. candying the stock lights just hinders their light output and looks cheap... like when someone throws "LED bulbs" in a tail light and calls it good.

this is going to be a big mistake. remember the stock lenses are very heavily diffused. if any kind of lens/body swapping is in order, make it an aftermarket lens with a stock tail light assembly if thats possible and DIY retro the tail light. i can guarantee you stock lenses over an aftermarket tail light will yield very unpleasant results. Not to mention your "garnish" or whatever you would put over the outside would be in the wrong location for the new light output. the aftermarket lights do not illuminate from the exact same measurement locations in the tail light as the stock. i have measured all of this.

the black ones and red lens ones look better than the chrome and this new "smoked" chrome.
