Smoked Tails-DIY!!! (PICS)
Ok so here is the very easy DIY for smoking your tailights using Nite-shades tint spray.
Ok first of, i am not responsable for any screw ups you make while doing this to your tailights. Or any tickets you get for smoked tails.
First you'll need to pick up some Nite=shades tinting spray. You should be able to get this at your local speed shop.
1. Remove tailights from car.
2. Clean all oils and greese from tailight lens, I used an alcohol cleaner.
3. Tape off everything but the lens itself, using masking tape. And now we start spraying. Make sure you are in a well ventilated area prefferable outside.
4. Hold the can about 10 inches away from tail lens. And spray in a back and forth motion across the tails.
5.For the first coat spray a nice light even layer of nite-shades. so it looks like this.
6.Let the first coat dry for about 10-15 mins in the sun. And shoot down the second layer. And you'll start to see the difference.
7.Again let the Tint spray dry for another 10-15 mins. Then lay down the third coat alittle heavier than first and second coat..
8.Going any ferther than a third coat is probably illegal in alot of area's, but most of you don't care like me so i did a fourth coat. I laid this coat down just as i did with the third coat. After the final coat Let the lights dry for a good 30 mins now before reinstall.
Here is the shade differnce, you can clearly see how much darker it is from before.
Ok now all you have to do is reinstall the the tailights back onto the vehicle.
Before...
After...
And here is a shot with all the lights on, you can clearly see all the lights even during daylight..
If you do not desire a shade this dark just spray first coat and second and see if you like it. You can spray to your desired sheade of tint. I only sprayed three coats on my Camo..
Ok there it is i hope i helped some of you smoke your tails. If anyone has any question or if i have overlooked anything please feel free to PM me and i'll get back to you ASAP. Happy Nite-shading....

This is actually one of the easiest mods i've ever done. I used tint spray for taillights called Niteshades. I am spraying my other box's tail's tomorrow so i'll take pics as i go and put up a DIY for those who are not familier with this product. Thanks for all the comments!!!

I'm still debating on tailights, I like some of the aftermarkets ones, unfortunately, some of the e bays ones having a good price have feedback issues that are less than desirable, I picked up an extra set of stock ones for $ 29 and have been waiting to see what to do with them

looks great.
mine look similar but i used bluebatmobile's tint.
also popped mine open and painted the back side of the "outer edge" black.. just thought that might interest you.
hmm, they are much darker in that pic than in real life.
